The SilverHorse Racing Tru-Billet Fuel Door is the first and only on the market
for the 2010+ cars made from over 5 Lbs. of solid 6061-T6 certified aluminum billets, machined down to an exact fit instead of being bent or cast into shape.
This results in a part that is lighter than the stock fuel door it
replaces (approx. 1 Lb.), yet will take just about whatever abuse you
want to throw at it. After anodizing or plating, they are
hand-assembled using stainless steel hardware, precision ground
stainless hinge spacer/washers, and nylon mounting bushings for a
perfect fit that requires no drilling of sheet metal (although the inner plastic
housing is removed during the installation process). Retention and closing of
the door is accomplished with cadmium-plated press-fit neodymium rare-earth
magnets and an exclusive striker plate that is retained by stainless steel hardware, not
loose-fitting glued-in components. Installs in about twenty minutes using common hand
tools, and they are available in different engraving options and in a
variety of finishes. This piece was rigorously tested to insure proper
function with the new capless fuel system for over 4 months prior to
release!
We are once again the FIRST to market with a proper fitting and
functional piece for your new Mustang - while we're sure there will be imitators,
