I bought these pre-painted and the finish was perfect. I had them installed by a local glass shop and unfortunately they had to break the glass to get them in. In most cases what one would do when installing these is remove the inside trim panels to allow room to use tools around the windows. That way you can save the glass. However since I didn't want to chance them not knowing how to put it back together I just agreed to have them break it. So just make sure your installer knows what they are doing and you will be fine. Otherwise they look great! I've seen quite a few mustangs with louvers while driving but none with these! They are truly unique. They are also very durable. I have had no problems with scratching or anything, but if I do, I know I can just use some light rubbing compound made for headlight lenses.
